She is also a director of concert series at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in VIn addition to her performing activity, Ms. Lutsyshyn has taught masterclasses in many American universities, including Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Humboldt State University in Arcata, California, and University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. Currently she teaches piano at the Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, Virginia.
Performance Experience:
Ms. Lutsyshyn has appeared in concerts as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the former Soviet Union, Europe, the United States, and South America. Locally, she has performed with the Virginia International Arts Festival, Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Ludwig F. Diehn Concert Series, as well as numerous other concert presenters.

Has taught piano for many years and is currently teaching at ODU.

Oksana Lutsyshyn teaches piano, creating lessons that balance strong technique with the enjoyment of making music. Her instruction blends classical and contemporary repertoire with music theory while emphasizing relaxed, tension-free playing through natural arm weight and wrist movement. Oksana connects technical exercises directly to music students enjoy, helping them develop expressive tone, dynamics, and healthy playing habits. She supports students preparing for recitals, auditions, and school programs as well as those learning simply for fun. Oksana studied at the Moscow Conservatory and brings more than 30 years of piano teaching experience.
