      Performance Experience: Before the pandemic, I was playing about 250 shows a year. I have played all over the US, Canada, and France with various bands, playing all different types of music. My groups have shared the stage with such acts as James Brown, The Allman Brothers, and I have personally performed with the likes of Charlie Crocket, and the Wooten Brothers.
      Teaching Experience: I have taught personal/private/streaming lessons in the New York Metro Region (NYC, LI, NJ, CT), since 2006 to students from ages 6-90, including all styles and disciplines on Bass, Guitar, and Ukulele: Audition and College Prep as well.
      Teaching Philosophy: Everyone has their own personal relationship with music and that is something I try to preserve while teaching them in a patient and friendly way. Music should be fun; both a source of inspiration and a release, which is why I focus on students choosing a repertoire they will want to practice and perform, while giving them the skills to play and communicate with others and make the music their own.

      Get to know Peter O'Neill

      Tri-State area first call bassist and guitar teacher Pete O'Neill has performed and toured internationally, playing with the likes of Charlie Crockett and the Wooten Brothers, and his bands have shared the stage with legendary artists such as James Brown and The Allman Brothers. Pete has taught bass, guitar, and ukulele in the New York City metro region for the last 15 years. He has studied with legendary bassists Victor Wooten, Felix Pastorius, Matthew Garrison, and Dominique Di Piazza, and he has toured extensively with bands of all genres and styles in the United States, Canada, and France. Pete's basslines have been featured in national ad campaigns, he's appeared on Pix11 News, Fox, and in The New York Times, and he is regularly featured in such online magazines as No Treble, For Bass Players Only, and Bass Musician Magazine.
