Performance Experience: I performed regularly on the piano at restaurants, bars, and other venues in Columbia, SC with the local band "Alumneye."
Teaching Experience: I have taught for several years, both independently and at various lessons studios and music stores in Columbia, SC.
Teaching Philosophy: I strive to help students get the most out of their instrument of choice. It is important to me to understand the student's current level, so as to meet him where he is, and affirmingly help him reach his goals in music.
Get to know Peter Scott
I performed with the band Alumneye for 2 years in Columbia, SC.
I grew up in Greenville, SC, and started taking piano lessons around 9 years old. After taking up percussion in high school, I played drums in various contexts (marching/concert band, rock bands) and started composing music for the piano. At Columbia International University, I minored in music and began teaching lessons independently. Since then, I have taught lessons at various locations and have performed with several bands in Columbia, SC.
