Teaching Experience:
Taught saxophone since 2017 and the rest of the woodwind family since 2020. Teaches up to classical theory and advanced jazz theory. Sprayberry HS Woodwind Instructor/Technician since 2020.
Teaching Philosophy:
My first and foremost goal is to have you/your student get the most enjoyment out of music as possible. I do not have a set curriculum nor do I teach from specific books. Instead I like to set various short term/long term goals and will adjust the content of our lessons depending on what will be the easiest path forward!
Get to know Raphael De Jesus
Raphael De Jesus has been a local woodwind instructor and musician for the past decade, studying jazz performance at Kennesaw State University under the direction of Sam Skelton. His experience includes audition prep (College, GHP, and District-Allstate), marching band instruction, live performance and studio work. His lessons are tailored to build a strong foundation of instrumental skills and musicianship, so that his students can be as versatile as possible.
