I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, making mistakes, and growing as musicians. Lessons are personalized to each student's individual needs, goals, and learning style, with an emphasis on strong fundamentals, confidence-building, and consistent feedback. I help students recognize their progress while developing the skills, independence, and appreciation needed to become lifelong musicians.
Get to know Samantha Best
Samantha Best teaches beginner to advanced flute and piccolo, beginner to intermediate clarinet and trumpet, and beginner trombone and euphonium. Her structured, encouraging lessons develop strong fundamentals through music reading, tone, rhythm, articulation, scales, technique, and theory. Samantha teaches solo, concert band, and marching band music while tailoring lessons to each student’s goals and learning style. She helps students build confidence while preparing for school performances, auditions, honor bands, chair placements, recitals, and solo and ensemble events. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Music Education from UNC Pembroke, is a licensed North Carolina K–12 Music Educator, and has served as a band director since 2020.
