Performance Experience: Professional Harpist for more than 20 years
Teaching Experience: Studio and classroom teaching experience with individuals and groups. Ages 5 to adult.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe first of all in establishing a solid technique for whatever instrument is being studied so that lack of technique does not become a problem later on. I also believe in a multi-faceted approach that includes singing and breaking down materials into the various musical elements as an aid to the learning process.

Get to know Sian

Sian is a native of the United Kingdom who has lived both sides of the Atlantic over the course of her career.  She moved to Colorado two years ago and currently also works as a music specials teacher at a local elementary school.  Prior to classroom teaching, she worked both as an instrumental teacher and professional harpist.  She is a graduate of the Juilliard School in New York and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.  Sian is excited to be joining the staff at Music and Arts in Lone Tree and to working with students on a one-to-one basis.
