Performance Experience: '16-20: Peabody Preparatory Performance Academy, full scholarship;
'20: Winner of Peabody Wind Orchestra Concerto Competition on Ibert Flute Concerto;
'22: First place in the CCM UG Instrumental Scholarship Competition;
Orchestras: Peabody Wind Orchestra, Howard County HS GT Orchestra, Peabody Youth Orchestra, CCM orchestras( including opera, concert, and wind)
Teaching Experience: Park has taught elementary to high school students music, english, and flute as a college student and is excited to teach more students at Music&Arts.
Teaching Philosophy: Just like how fashion isn't about fashion, music isn't simply about music. Music is a gift, music is a story, music is nostalgic, music is emotional. Music becomes music when you are connected with your instrument, voice, thoughts, and tools.
My goal in teaching is for my students to use the flute to learn more about themselves and who they want to be.
Get to know Sieun Park
Sieun Park is a budding professional flutist and a recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. She studied with Demarre McGill during her four years at the conservatory and graduated in 2024 with a Bachelors of Music degree in Flute Performance.
Born in Seoul, Korea, Park moved to Maryland during elementary school. Her previous teachers were Rachel JeeYoung Choe, Marlee Lindon, and Grace Wang.
