      Performance Experience: Park has performed in honors and GT Howard County groups, and has performed the Ibert Flute Concerto with the Peabody Wind Orchestra after winning first place in the preparatory’s concerto competition (‘20). Her main performance experiences include: Chamber groups, Peabody Youth and Wind Orchestra, HoCo HS GT Orchestra, and UC CCM orchestras (including opera, concert, and wind). Park regularly serves as a substitute flutist at Bethel Korean Presbyterian Church.
      Teaching Experience: Park is currently working as a teacher for Baltimore Symphony Orchestra OrchKids, Roberson School of Music (piano and flute), and is coaching flutists in the Beracah Youth Orchestra. She has taught pre-K - high school students music, english, and flute, and she is always excited to welcome more students at Music&Arts.
      Teaching Philosophy: Just like how fashion isn't about fashion or the way history isn’t about history, music isn't simply about music. Music is a gift, music is a story, music is nostalgic, and music is emotional. Music becomes music when you are connected with your instrument, voice, thoughts, and tools. My goal as a teacher is to lead my students to use the flute to learn more about themselves and who they want to be, as they inspire themselves through music.

      Get to know Sieun Park

      Sieun Park is a flute and piano teacher who creates supportive, engaging lessons tailored to each student’s age, skill level, and musical goals. She teaches beginner flute students through 12th grade as well as beginner piano students from PreK through elementary ages, focusing on strong fundamentals, music theory, technique, and confidence-building from the very beginning. Sieun encourages curiosity and adapts her teaching style to help each student fully understand concepts through creative explanations and personalized guidance. Students are encouraged to explore music they enjoy while developing the skills needed for performances, auditions, school programs, or personal growth. Sieun studied flute performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and currently works with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s OrchKids program while completing her PreK–12 Music Education certification.
