About Simba Simms
Get to know Simba Simms
Zach Simms, 'Simba' as he is called by most, is based in the DMV and Eastern Shore of Maryland, where he grew up captivated by all things musical. While his prime instrument is the Guitar, he also performs and instructs on the Mandolin, Electric Bass, Ukulele, and more often than not, Banjo. While he spent his teen years focused on most every genre and style under the sun, he spent his college years at Salisbury University studying under master Danielle Cumming, focusing on purist Classical Guitar, Sound Engineering, and earning a Bachelor of Arts. Between practicing and studying constantly, Simba spends his time a number of ways; instructing private students, performing around the DMV, and running live sound, where he has run live sound for acts such as Merle Haggard, Marshall Tucker Band, Styx, Stone Temple Pilots, Don Felder, and the list goes on. Additionally, he is a gun-for-hire, both on the stage, and in the studio. When he is not working on music, he is studying log cabin architecture, various languages, and food.
