About Steve Francella

Stephen Francella is a brass teacher who works with beginner to intermediate students, creating lessons that are both educational and fun. His teaching style emphasizes strong classical fundamentals like counting, listening, tone development, and duet playing, while keeping students motivated through engaging and personalized instruction. Stephen believes every student learns differently and adapts lessons to each individual’s personality and goals, helping them build confidence and enjoy the learning process. Students regularly prepare solos and performance pieces for recitals and musical events throughout the year. Stephen is a charter member of the Spires Brass Band, has over 65 years of playing experience, and has been teaching music for more than 50 years.
