Performance Experience: I have performed professionally for over 30 years. In addition to leading my quartet, quintet, I have been featured as a sideman and played with the Muthafunkoholix, The Eubie Blake Big Band, Soulstation, and the Deep Water Jazz Ensemble.

Teaching Experience: Teaching privately for over 30 years in the Baltimore/Washington area.

Get to know Terry Koger

Terry Koger, native of Trenton, New Jersey, graduated from Morgan State University with a degree in music education and additional studies at Peabody Conservatory and Columbia College in Chicago. He has taught saxophone, clarinet, oboe and bassoon in the Baltimore/Washington area for over 30 years. He also teaches beginning improvisation. He leads his jazz quintet and works as a sideman with many area musicians. Terry believes in a specialized music program for each student to maximize their potential.
