      Get to know Tim

      Timothy Blaha has taught instrumental music for 36 years at the middle school and high school levels in four different schools in three different states (Wisconsin, Florida, and Texas).  He was selected as Teacher-of-the-Year at one school in Miami, Florida and again at a school in Houston, Texas.  He has a bachelor’s degree in music education from The University of Wisconsin at Madison and a master’s degree in music education from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He has taught all the woodwind, brass, percussion, strings, and piano for the middle and high school levels, including adult classes as well.  His educational philosophy for music is to have all students understand music by reading, writing and performing.
