Get to know Tony Brand
Anthony Brand has been teaching guitar, piano, bass, drums, and production for almost 20 years and is fluent in the jazz, blues, Latin, and Caribbean music traditions. He has performed internationally as the artist "Cultivated Mind," playing festivals in Jamaica, The USVI's, Guatemala, New York City, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia and the Carolinas. and has performed with legends such as The Wailers, Steel Pulse, Inner Circle, Everton Blender, HR of Bad Brains, Marcia Aitken, Culture, Black Uhuru, and Midnite/Akae Beka throughout his 15 years of touring and producing. His college credentials include a Masters in Teaching from CNU and he was the former guitar instructor at Smithfield High School. Students of all ages are welcome and encouraged to apply!
