      Get to know Travis Moffitt

Travis Moffitt is a dedicated brass instructor and professional tubist from East Bend, North Carolina, who brings both deep musical expertise and a patient, student-focused teaching style to his lessons. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Music from East Carolina University, both with a concentration in tuba performance, and is currently a DMA candidate at UNC Greensboro.

Travis is passionate about helping beginners feel confident and capable from their very first note. Whether a student is learning trumpet, trombone, euphonium, or tuba, his lessons focus on building strong fundamentals in a fun, encouraging environment. He believes that great musicianship starts with a solid foundation—and that every student learns best when they feel supported and inspired.

In addition to teaching, Travis performs as the principal tubist with the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra and plays with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra. He also serves as the Arts Production Specialist in the Department of Music at UNC Pembroke, where he contributes to a thriving college music community.

Travis welcomes students of all ages and experience levels and is especially skilled at guiding young brass players as they grow in skill, confidence, and love for music.

      Travis Moffitt teaches at:
