About Uzma Khan

Uzma is a passionate musician, concert pianist, vocalist, composer, and dedicated music educator who brings a lifelong love of music into every lesson. Her approach to teaching is rooted in helping students discover their own unique voice—both musically and personally—while developing strong technique, confidence, musicianship, and performance skills.

A natural performer and storyteller, Uzma began teaching piano and voice as a teenager and has spent more than 25 years working with students of all ages and skill levels. Her lessons incorporate vocal technique, ear training, musicality, interpretation, stage presence, audition preparation, and performance confidence, while remaining engaging and accessible to each individual student.

Uzma has a particular passion for helping singers develop a healthy, expressive, and authentic relationship with their voice. She believes that great instruction should give students the technical tools to grow while also encouraging them to explore their own sound, style, creativity, and artistic identity. Whether a student is preparing for an audition, learning to perform, developing contemporary vocal skills, or simply looking to become more comfortable singing, Uzma creates a supportive environment where students can take risks, build confidence, and enjoy the process of making music.
