Get to know Barry Mosley
Barry Mosley is inspired by the great vsalve trombonist Bob Brookmeyer. As a result Barry is keeping the legacy of playing jazz valve trombone. His first great jazz credit was as a young artist performing many times with jazz legged Chet Baker in the mid 80's by Baker's request. These lyical qualities of Baker and Brookmeye have been a major influence on Barry's approach to music and jazz improvisation.
Barry studied with Herb Patnoe of De Anza College in Cupertino, CA and Dave Eschellman at San Jose City College. Barry's experience in jazz performance and studio recording gives him an edge not only on brass studies but practical advantages that only a performer can provide.
