About Drew Theran
Get to know Drew Theran
Growing up, Drew has had an unusual connection to all of the artistic and aesthetic elements of the music. He attended the UMass Lowell Symphonic Band Camp for four summers in a row, he studied in the New England Conservatory Preparatory School, and he eventually pursued a double BM in Sound Recording Technology and Trumpet Performance in the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He has studied with numerous mentors including but not limited to Dana Oakes, Robert Pettipaw, Joseph Foley, Joseph Casano, Gus Sebring, and David Gordon. At this point, he is well experienced in identifying, and helping to meet the most unique learning challenges students have so they can discover ways they can apply their own skills in learning how to effectively play their respective instruments (primarily brass). He is currently a graduate student in the UW School of Music in pursuit of his MM in Trumpet Performance.
