About Izzy Smith

Isabella started tuba when she was 11. She was in Broadnecks Performing Arts magnet program for tuba performance, and was in Anne Arundels All county band and orchestra for all 4 years, as well as their BSO side-by-side for 2. She has been in all state band for tuba in 2020, and has placed in both Anne Arundels Solo and Ensemble, and Marylands Solo and Ensemble for 4 years. She was in the Chesapeake Youth Orchestra for 5 years, and now rooks for Londontowne Symphony Orchestra. She has studied under Cody Smith and Dave Federly for tuba, under Dave Dochterman for trombone and euphonium, and under Ian Gordinsky for music theory. She is also an active member in the Baltimore Brass quintet, and frequently plays both tuba and trombone in performances. Isabella has also interned with the Annapolis Music Therapy, and has experience working with nuerodivergent musicians. She has a strong background with classical music and brass quintets, and loves to share her excitement of all things music.
