About Jamin Coleman

Jamin Coleman is a percussion teacher who works with students from beginner to advanced levels, teaching drum set, percussion, snare drum, mallet percussion, drumline, rhythm skills, and beginner piano. His lessons are structured, engaging, and personalized to each student’s goals, combining technique, music reading, creativity, and performance skills in a fun, high-energy environment. Jamin teaches a wide range of styles including rock, pop, jazz, funk, Latin, gospel, worship, R&B, and marching percussion while helping students develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and effective practice habits. Whether preparing for recitals, auditions, school band programs, marching band, or personal enjoyment, students receive supportive guidance designed for lasting success. Jamin holds a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and brings nearly a decade of teaching and international performance experience to his students.
