About Wendy Keene

Wendy Keene teaches beginner to intermediate violin and viola, beginner to advanced cello, and beginner mandolin. Her lessons develop technique, sight-reading, scales, etudes, solos, and duets while allowing students to help choose repertoire with thoughtful guidance. Wendy uses positive praise and gentle correction to create an encouraging environment where musical growth and enjoyment go hand in hand. She helps students strengthen school orchestra skills, prepare for auditions and recitals, and pursue other performance opportunities. Wendy has taught privately for 45 years and performs with local orchestras and small ensembles.
