Ventus Trombone

Ventus Trombone

Hello, musicians!

So, as I’ve stated before, your favorite Music and Artisans here in Orlando often find themselves searching near and far for the coolest and best instruments for our rising musicians to have the Guaranteed-BEST equipment to be performing with, and this week was no exception. This week, we focused on Trombones, and asked ourselves, what could be the coolest trombone we could get our hands on?

The Ventus VTB-10 is hands-down the coolest Trombone I’ve ever seen, ever. It encompasses everything a player could wish for in a ‘bone, AND its a transformer! What do I mean when I say ‘transformer?” I’m glad you asked!

The Ventus VTB-10 has the most fantastic feature I’ve ever seen  on a trombone - and one that is surprisingly requested for often. The F-trigger attachment on this horn is exactly that - an attachment. You can actually detatch the trigger-and-extention and turn your horn into a professional pea-shooter at any time! There are just a few very basic steps to this transformation. Here, I’ll show you:

Trombone Transformation

So we’ll start out with just the bell of the trombone. You can see the attachment is on the horn. We’re looking to take that bad boy off,  so we’ll start the disassembly now.

We’ll begin by removing the main tuning slide from the instrument, to free the F-attachment.

From here we’ll start disengaging the fasteners found on the braces for the main tuning slide.

There are two fasteners on the trombone, one on each brace. Once you disengage them both, you can free the attachment and prepare to switch it out.

Here you can see the F-attachment next to the single-slide attachment, for comparison of the parts.

Here, we take the single-slide attachment and start to reassemble the instrument.

Secure the fasteners, once again, located on the braces of the main tuning slide, until tightly locked.

Re-mount the tuning slide onto the instrument. This should mount onto the trombone relatively easily. If you have any trouble, double-check your mounting to make sure the slides are aligned carefully.

And there you have it, your trombone has transformed from an F-Attachment to a professional Slide-only trombone!

This is honestly the coolest new thing I’ve seen in modern instruments yet. Come on in and play with this trombone today!
