About Linda Delph
Get to know Linda Delph
Linda has been providing quality piano instruction for the past 35 years. While in Elementary and Middle School, she received over 8 years of private piano and organ instruction. She began her music performance at the young age of 12 where she played as the accompanist for her church. Her experience over the past 50 years have included playing for weddings, professional accompanying of vocalists, instrumentalists, ensembles and choirs.
After graduating from college, Linda spent 7 years in the corporate world before deciding to do what she loves. Linda has taught students as young as 4 years old up to seniors well into their "golden years". Her teaching philosophy is that every student -child or adult- should learn to play to whatever capacity he or she is able and should have fun doing it!
Linda will supplement the lesson material with "Fun" books that will include the type of music the student wants to play...i.e. Classical, Country, Jazz, Pop, Disney, Church, etc. Theory and sight-reading are also included with each lesson to help the student gain a better understanding of music. Linda strives to make this a positive learning experience and therefore will tailor her teaching method to best suit the needs of each student. Every student is welcome in her studio regardless of skill level.
Linda is a member of the Phoenix Music Teachers Association, Arizona State Music Teachers Association, and the Music Teachers National Association.
