About Me


Anna Savery is a Russian born, Australian grown, L.A. based violinist, improvisor and teacher. Anna studied classical violin and jazz improvisation in at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the Australian Institute of music. She also completed a Masters degree at the University of California, Irvine in Integrated Composition, Improvisation and Technology.

Anna started playing violin at the early age of five and had her first violin student when she was thirteen. Since then, Anna has taught violin, improvisation, jazz combos, chamber music, classroom music and has lectured in music technology. 
Anna believes that the main responsibility of a teacher is to inspire. She always tries to approach each of her students as individuals, making sure that they enjoys their lessons, whilst showing consistent improvement.
