About Me

Growing up with a rich musical heritage, Annette’s family of ten enjoyed five pianos, an organ, a flute, a violin, several guitars and a drum set in their fifteen room home.  Instruments were heartily practiced, day and night, and music was enjoyed by all!

Tutored from an early age, Annette has enjoyed many years of instruction by professionals, including Dr. Arthur Houle, Miss Anna Scannell, Chris Anderson, and most recently Lynne Wilby. She has an affinity for children of all ages (her oldest was almost eighty!) and has taught for over 20 years in both private school and studio settings.

From her broad background in teaching and communication, Annette offers an enticing introduction to music for students of all abilities. She has been thrilled to work with a number of children and adults with special needs, and is eager to discover each student’s learning style.  By incorporating sight reading, theory, technique, music history, and the wonderful world of chord improvisation, students are offered a well rounded musical education.
