About Anthony Gerogosian
I think that making a new student comfortable and establishing a good rapport from the beginning is crucial to cultivating a long term relationship. My teaching style has been described as “laid back” by most of my students. I’m easy going and a people person. Many times parents and students alike have given me one of the highest honors and compliments of being called a mentor. So, once we’ve established the student’s abilities and desires, I tailor the lesson plan to meet the goals. My personal styles cover the range of Folk, Blues, Classic Rock, Modern Rock, Metal, Bluegrass, Country and Gospel with many disciplines of each style for Acoustic and Electric Guitar. I also teach beginning Bass Guitar as well. I always play along during exercises and songs, encouraging the students to learn melody and chords and to be able to switch comfortably from one to the other. I enjoy sharing my love of music and making music with my students and audiences as well. I easily relate to all ages through the magic of music.
