My name is April and I'm really excited to be a part of the new Music and Arts family. I used to teach previously with Middletown Music and I was brought onto the MAC team back in October of 2014.
I teach a wide range of instruments but have a focus in voice and piano. I've been teaching since 1995 and have been performing for over 20 years on multiple instruments. I graduated from Rowan University with a B.M. in Music Education (Choral Concentration) and also studied with Clarence Miller, Dr. Eugene Simpson, and Charles Walker. I also performed in the U.S. Army band from 2001-2003 on Bass guitar.
It is immensely rewarding to watch a student grow with music. Studying music fosters discipline, perseverance, patience, and that indescribable feeling of accomplishment that comes from mastering something that, at first, seemed daunting. I teach music because I love being apart of that process. I want to instill in my students with my passion and use my skills and knowledge to help them accomplish their musical goals.
