I currently hold a degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in Theatre, and have an extended study in piano and language from Northern Arizona University. I have over 15 years of experience teaching private music lessons and over 20 years of experience with private study. I have also developed a unique pop pedagogic method, and am the author of a vocal lesson book for children.
I am a local singer/songwriter, and I currently perform as a singer with the Puyallup based rock band, Limberlost. I’ve played in various different stage performances, musicals, chorus’, and won numerous piano and voice competitions spanning over ten years! I was also given the opportunity to participate under a scholarship to sing with the Music in the Marche summer opera program in Mondavio Italy, under a six week intensive operatic program. My singing and songwriting have led me to play live venue locations around the U.S., Europe, and even Africa!
I make custom learning plans for my students based off of what type of music they like and what they want to learn. My teaching techniques include: pop belting and musical theater belting, strengthening breath management and respiratory muscles, music theory, music appreciation, ear training, recital/concert/audition preparation, coaching for musical/operatic/solo work, song-writing, chordal structures, and composition which can apply to all styles of music.
I will also be providing master classes, recitals, and other fun opportunities as well! I look forward to teaching you soon!
