About Christopher

Christopher Dixon graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory in 2007 with his Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree, having studied violin and viola with Olivia Hajioff and Marc Ramirez. Mr. Dixon has played violin professionally with several ensembles in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, including the Avanti Orchestra of the Friday Morning Music Club, the Piedmont Symphony Orchestra, the World Doctors Orchestra, the American Festival Pops Orchestra, and the St. Charles String Quartet. Mr. Dixon is currently the Principal 2nd Violinist and Orchestra Manager of the Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra in Woodbridge, Virginia. He is the recipient of the 2017 Kathleen K. Seefeldt Award for Arts Excellence in the category of Outstanding Volunteer for the Arts. Mr. Dixon is the orchestra director at Mary F. Williams, Covington-Harper, and Triangle Elementary Schools in Prince William County, Virginia.
