About Me

Born and raised in Taiwan, I began my musical journey at six with lessons from my eldest sister, who was also an aspiring pianist and teacher.  I completed a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Washington in piano performance, then completed a Master of Music degree in piano performance at State University of New York, Stonybrook, where I was a pupil of Martin Canin, who was concurrently teaching piano at the Juilliard School of Music in Manhattan.

As guest artist, I have performed piano concertos with the Seattle, Everett, University of Washington, State University of New York, and presented solo recitals in Seattle, Stonybrook, NY, and in Taiwan.

My teaching career includes a two-year tenure as Piano Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington, further teaching for the U. W. Extension Program, and the cultivation of a full class of piano students for the past twenty five years.  My students span the ages of four to seventy-five years, and I keenly enjoy the task of tailoring my teaching approach to each one of them in order to maximize her/his musical growth and accomplishments.
