He graduated from the University of Southern California on merit scholarship with Cum Laude Honors in 2015. He was one of eight students in this class receive the pristigeous Thornton Faculty Award Scholarship. Early on, he was exposed to jazz music when he saw Bruce Forman play at Jazz at Port Townsend about a month after picking up the guitar. Since that moment, he has worked hard to refine his craft and become the player he is today. Currently, he maintains a busy schedule of accompanying singers in Seattle. In June of 2016, Jesse was the 5th Runner Up chosen from hundreds of applications from across the world in the Lee Ritenour Six String Theory Guitar Competition under the rhythm guitar category.
