About Kelsey Boltz
Kelsey Boltz is a cellist from Pennsylvania. She has been studying cello since the age of 9 and has gone on to study music at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and is currently studying at Northern Illinois University for her Master’s degree in Cello Performance. Kelsey has studied with multiple teachers including: Kathleen Embriani, Andrew Rammon, Jeffrey Jacobsen, and Cheng-Hou Lee.
Playing in ensembles both large and small is her passion with ensembles she’s worked with including: Northern Tier Symphony Orchestra, NICO, and Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra along with numerous string quartets, clarinet/flute quintets, and piano trios.
The joy of playing an instrument should be available to everyone no matter what their economic background and Kelsey strives to bring these opportunities to others through her work in Mansfield’s String Program and Fox Valley Orchestra’s El Sistema Program-- programs which provide lessons and instruments at a low cost or for free.
