Dr. Kendall Moore is a brass specialist, composer, and educator currently teaching at Music and Arts. His favorite genres to teach are classical, jazz, and contemporary music (R&B, Gospel, Pop). He has his Doctorate and Masters of Music from the Frost School of Music at University of Miami, and His bachelors of music from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. Some of his notable instructors over the years have been Jay Friedman (Chicago Symphony Orchestra), Tom Garling (Buddy Rich big band and the Maynard Ferguson Band), Dante Luciani (Maynard Ferguson and Woody Herman Big Band), Gary Lindsay (Grammy Award winning Arranger/Composer) and Jim Trompeter (Miami Sound Machine). Kendall is currently freelancing as a trombonist in such bands as the Jazz Houston Orchestra, various R&B and Gospel groups, and performing his own original music in the Houston metropolitan area.
