I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Texas State University with an All-Level Teaching Certification from the State of Texas and have over twenty-five years of voice training. I specialize in classical voice and have had performance experiences in opera theatre with Texas State University, the University of Memphis, Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble, and Opera Memphis, as well as having conducted and performed with the Cornerstone Sanctuary Choir in San Antonio, TX.
Teaching music is my passion and it gives me great joy to see the "lightbulb" come on in a student's eyes when a concept is finally grasped. Rapport with the student is very important to me, as it is essential to the learning experience of the student. Since the learning process from student to student may vary, my lessons are student-centered and individualy tailored to accomodate the comprehention and learning level of of each student. Although classical voice is my expertise, I also teach contemporary voice as well.
Currently, I am a private voice and beginning piano instructor here at the Music & Arts music studio located at the Forum Shopping Center in Selma, Texas.
