About Roxanne Wehking

Roxanne is a graduate of Towson University with a Bachelor's in Jazz/Commercial Guitar Performance. While at Towson Roxanne also studied classical guitar and jazz voice. Roxanne became the first female guitarist to play in the Towson University Jazz Orchestra, where she performed with guest artists such as Bobby Shew, Mary Halvorson, and Elery Eskelin. She has also performed in a master classes with jazz legend Dave Liebman. 

Roxanne has been teaching in the Baltimore area for over three years now. Her versatile background allows her to teach in a variety of genres, such as jazz, classical, rock, pop, funk, and blues. Roxanne caters her lessons to the students interests, taking the time to learn their goals and inspirations. Roxanne teaches adults and children alike, believing  that it is never too late to pick up the guitar. Roxanne makes her lessons fun and exciting so the student stays motivated and interested in Music. Roxanne teaches privately full time. She is currently the guitar professor at McDaniel College, teaching in Towson, and in Bel Air. 

Roxanne's performance experience includes: The Bachelor Boy's Band (wedding receptions, ceremonies, and cocktail hours), pit orchestras for musicals, a Led Zeppelin cover band (The Livin' Lovin' Maids) Jazz trios, solo guitar playing, original music groups, studio session work, and more.
