About Sam F.
I have studied the violin and viola consistently for twelve years under Elizabeth Zempel and Jamie Hofman at Falls Baptist Church. I have always had a passion for music and for education and have had several opportunities to put my music and teaching skills to use. Along with several music teaching opportunities, I have also had the opportunity to perform in several symphony orchestra environments, including a performance with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. At present, I am pursuing a music education degree through Maranatha Baptist University, which is regarded as having one of the best education programs in the state.
I have had several opportunities to put my music and teaching skills to use. I have been a teacher’s assistant at several music camps as well as during the school year for private and group lessons through Falls Baptist Church and Baptist College of Ministry. I have actively been a part of the symphony orchestra at Baptist College of Ministry for several years and have performed, with the group, a wide range of classical music. I have also had several opportunities to sing with various choirs both at Maranatha Baptist University and Baptist College of Ministry.
Along with a proficiency in the viola and violin, I have strong music theory and aural skills. As a teacher, I strive not only to teach my students to take charge of their learning and perfect their skills, but above all, also to teach them to enjoy the great experience and excitement that learning music has to offer.
