About Sean Rickman
Sean began his professional career as a drummer in Washington DC while still in grade school at the age of 10. Washington DC is known for its punk, go go and jazz music scene. Sean began perfoming with artists internationally known such as pianist Herbie Hancock, bassist Marcus Miller, pop singer Maxwell, George Clinton of P-Funk, guitar wizard Shawn Lane, jam band Garaj Mahal, fusion band Dapp Theory, and he currently tours and records with saxophonist Steve Coleman and Five Elements. Sean has produced 2 solo albums One 2012 and Zoom 2016 under his stage name The Rick in which he has written all the music, performed all vocals, guitars, bass and drums. Sean also hosts THERICKLESSONS.COM featuring drum video lessons for worldwide subscribers. And he hosts his artist site THERICKROCKS.COM
Sean has conducted master class workshops and continues at schools such as CalArts (Los Angeles), UCLA, Berkelee College of Music, Logan Center Univeristy of Chicago, The New School (NYC), Kimmel Center (Philadelphia) and others.

Although Sean's career is full of achievments, his greatest is being a devoted skilled teacher. Sean has a history of private instruction, drum clinics, in store instruction and currently web video instruction and is now a resident of West Hartford where he operates his production studio.
