Areas of Instruction
I was born and raised in Fort Collins where I attended Poudre High School (Go Impalas!). After highschool, I spent 2 years at CSU in the music school and then transferred to University of Denver to finish my bachelors degree in violin. I moved to California and did my master's in music history at Claremont College. While I was there, I was able to do some free-lance work in Los Angeles and some private teaching. I was also able to travel to Austria with the Eisenstadt Summer Institute Orchestra as a violinist and librarian. Playing music in Austria has been the highlight of my career!
I currently teach music appreciation classes for AIMS Community College in Greeley. I have been with AIMS for 18 years and love the small classes and great students. I play with the Longmont Symphony under the direction of Elliot Moore. I also freelance in the area.
I live in Loveland with my dog and cats. I love to hike and explore, learn about history, travel, take care of my garden and play with my grandkids when I am not making music.
