About Taimoor

Taimoor Saeedi is adjunct professor of jazz guitar at Northern Virginia Community College. He graduated with an Artist Diploma in Jazz Performance from New England Conservatory of Music, one of the world's most prestigious music schools in Boston and has been teaching guitar for over 27 years. In addition to teaching,Taimoor has an active performance career including the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

He is a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher trained in a variety of musical genres including jazz, rock, blues, classical, and fingerpicking style. Students 5 years of age and up are welcome.

As a full time musician, Taimoor has made numerous appearances at top venues such as Joseph Meyerhouf Hall, Strathmore Hall, Smithsonian Arts Museum, Blues Alley to name a few.

His recordings featuring original compositions for trio and quintet, has been well received by the music community and has been aired on Jazz radio stations in the US as well as abroad.
