Areas of Instruction
Tyler Rogers is an up and coming saxophonist/multi-instrumentalist/composer from Seattle Washington. He received a degree from Western Washington University majoring in music and minoring in audio recording. Upon graduating, Tyler stayed in Bellingham for a year and quickly joined two local bands; Mr. Feelgood & the Firm Believers, and Baby Cakes, both of whom began recording albums in summer 2017, which were released summer 2018. In addition to joining those groups, Tyler also accepted internship opportunities at Alpenglow Sound Studio in Bellingham and London Bridge in Seattle. Tyler has also worked with a number of local producers and has been on numerous singles. Currently, Tyler is a Claude Lakey artist, studies with Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, and plays with Brian James and Own the Night Productions.
Tyler’s current tenor saxophone setup is a Selmer Mark VI 128xxx, a Claude Lakey Apollo rhodium 7* mouthpiece, Rovner ligature, and D’Addario unfiled select jazz reeds.
