While we have plenty of amazing teachers, it is hard to brag about only one at a time. For this blog, we decided to start with one of our very first teachers: Carol.
Carol has a passion that is rare, and that is to share her love for piano music and teaching to her students. Not only does she love to teach, but she also loves to perform. In 2013, she released her own album of original piano solos, titled C Major. At our last Open Mic, she performed a solo from this album titled “Gut Feeling.” You can hear the entire album playing in the store from time to time.
Carol received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from The University of Southern Mississippi, and a Master of Arts Degree in Arts Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University. She pulls inspiration from her past teachers and from traveling the world performing as a classical pianist.
As a teacher, Carol teaches to her students’ ability, and whether her student is a serious or recreational player. She uses methods such as ABRSM, Alfred, Bastien, and many more. She also teaches Music Theory to any who are looking to take their music to the next level. When she is not teaching, Carol also hosts a weekly vlog discussing her adventures with music.
I could go on and on, but why don’t you meet her for yourself? Carol teaches with us on Saturdays and is always excited to bring on new students. Give us a call to set up your piano lessons with her today!
