I began taking piano lessons when I was seven years old and continued lessons throughout high school and college. My piano teacher began training me to teach piano when I began teaching piano lessons in the ninth grade. Throughout high school, participating in competitions, accompanying my church’s choir, and playing church offertories on a regular basis provided training and experience in piano accompaniment and solo performance.
After graduating from high school, I attended Golden State Baptist College where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music Education in May 2012. Before graduating from college, I was able to travel two summers (2010, 2011) as tour pianist for Golden State Baptist College’s “Voices of Praise.” Throughout my sophomore, junior, and senior years, I continued teaching private piano lessons on a college level. Teaching music was beginning to become a passion of mine!
Currently, I play for my church’s choir and am very involved in Calvary Baptist Church’s music program. I enjoy teaching piano lessons at Music & Arts where I currently teach students of many ages. My goal as a piano teacher is to make music lessons fun, exciting, challenging, and a wonderful experience for each of my students!
