About Claudia

Claudia received her Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). She has acquired a great deal of experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth area teaching students of all ages, in both private and group lesson settings. She has also gained experience serving as a substitute pianist in various churches.

Claudia has been teaching since 2001 and she enjoys sharing her love for music with students of all levels. Claudia is a member of The Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Texas Music Teachers Association (TMTA) and The American Guild of Organists. She began studying music at the age of four years old.

After receiving a High School Performance Certificate with emphasis in piano from the Antonio Maria Valencia Conservatory in Cali-Colombia, she graduated Magna Cum Laude, getting the Bachelors of Music with emphasis in piano performance under the tutelage of Professor Lucia Mora. Claudia is active as a teacher, performer and accompanist.

She won the Young Artists performing Series competition, where she played in one of the most prestigious halls of her native country, the Recital Hall of the library Luis Angel Arango. She was semifinalist in the XI and XIV National Piano Competition UIS in Bucaramanga-Colombia. She recorded the Third Volume of the Series Performances "Master Composers" Colombian authors, carried out by Valle University in 2004 playing the "Suite Breve para piano" by Luis Carlos Figueroa.
