This past weekend we held our Lesson Studio Open House and we are blown away by the support and participation of the Frederick community. We would like to welcome the thirty-three new students that joined our Lesson Studio Family this weekend!
On Friday we hosted our Open Mic Night in celebration of International Make Music Day! We had an amazing turn out of students and teachers. Of the 20+ students who performed for us, two students performed original pieces that they worked on with their teachers. We had seasoned Open Mic students as well as students performing for the very first time. We are so proud of all of our students and want to send out an extra thanks to all the parents who supported this opportunity for their young musician to perform and have fun with us!
We would like to further recognize the teachers that were available to come support their students: Peter Heiss, Sandy Maples, Steven Francella, Mandy Pankratz—thank you all for showing your support of your students and being there for them! And an extra special thank you to Zach Worthy, James Calderon, and Dan Webb for not only being there for their students, but taking the time to perform for us! It was a pleasure and a thrill to see our teachers show off their performance skills for us.
We further need to give a thank you to Verizon here in Clemson Corner for allowing us to utilize the space in front of their store for our event. We appreciate the support from our neighbors.
On Saturday, Music & Arts teacher Chaz Aguado hosted 2 Free Guitar Classes. We were able to accommodate 35+ students across the two classes! It was a wonderful introduction to lessons with the guitar, and it was a pleasure to see Chaz in his element. As a result, many of the participants decided to join Chaz in his private studio and the Music and Arts Lesson Studio Family!
The overarching goal of this event was to inform the community about the opportunities Music and Arts here at North Frederick has to offer. Ultimately, our goal is to inspire the next generation of musicians, and provide the tools needed for realizing their full potential. We are absolutely thrilled with the success of this weekend and we look forward to continue building on these events for our students and the community!
